If I have to be honest and this is my opinion, no matter what opening song I listen to I can't ever get over Unravel and Unravel is still my favourite opening till now. I remember years ago when my brother showed me Tokyo Ghoul, I wasn't interested at first then he showed me the opening and that was the first time I actually liked something my brother showed me out of all the animes and openings he showed me. I showed my friends and relatives, they all loved the opening and watched the anime as well. Hope Tokyo Ghoul gets a remake

also, this is an observation specifically for anyone who has already watched season 1: [HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD FOR SEASON 1] compare the shot at 17:00 to the shot of Askeladd from behind in episode 20, directly after he sends Atli and Torgrim away. here, in episode 2, Leif is talking about how Thors plans to take men, who would be considered able fighters, but are actually ill-suited for the battlefield, and send them away from the fighting, so they can live their lives in peace. the scene in episode 20 features Askeladd sending the last of his men away from his own personal battlefield, because he knows that their time fighting is over... they're no longer suited to this. and it's also Askeladd accepting that he must go and fight alone. he crafted the conditions for the situation he's in. karma has come for him, and he has no choice but to meet it. it's no accident that he's starting to make decisions that resemble Thors, the man in whom he recognized the archetype of the hero Artorius, in the lead up to his moment where he claims the name, Lucius Artorius Castus.

Man, that's why I only looked at the openings after I watched the season. Some of them can completely spoil the story for you.
